Alderwick House

A countryside wedding venue website

A complete, browsable website for an imagined country-house venue. It has editorial typography, an interactive estate map, live package comparisons and an enquiry journey designed for one of the biggest decisions a couple makes.

Selected website work

Different audiences. Different design.

Shipped sites for my own studio and products, alongside three working concept websites (a wedding venue, a café and a restaurant) for very different customers.

Mimir

A desktop application for building fictional worlds, for game developers, writers and Game Masters. Characters, places, cultures and histories become one connected world of entries, relationships, trees, timelines and maps, kept in plain files you own.

  • ProblemLarge fictional worlds sprawl across documents until nobody can see how the pieces connect.

Working together

A website that looks the part and pulls its weight.

For independent businesses that want something better than a template, built by one person who understands design, code and marketing.

  • Designed for your business, not from a template

Each site gets its own identity, typography and layout, shaped around your customers and the way you work.

  • Hand-built, fast and accessible

Clean, standards-based code without heavy page builders, so pages load quickly, work for everyone and are easy to look after.

  • Built around what the site needs to achieve

A marketing background means the work starts with the commercial goal: enquiries, bookings, visits or trust.

Clear packages, scope and price agreed before any work begins, your website and domain in your name, and help afterwards whenever you need it.

3D & motion

Made to be turned over in your hands.

Modelling, materials and lighting are part of how I design. Drag the study to rotate it, or use the slider.

The studies shown are interim pieces. They will be replaced with original Blender renders and turntables. No gameplay footage is shown.

About

Designer, developer and marketer. One person, start to finish.

I’m Alex. I founded Shieldwall Games in 2020, where I’m building Mimir, and I lead digital marketing for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner. I bring the same care to small-business websites: a clear goal, a distinctive design and code that holds up.
