Weddings in the Kentish Weald

Where the day unfolds slowly

A Georgian house, a glasshouse orangery and forty acres of parkland — reserved for a single wedding at a time.

  • One wedding a day
  • Up to 140 guests
  • Ceremonies indoors & out

Welcome to Alderwick

Alderwick has been a family home for six generations. On your wedding day we hand you the keys — to the orangery, the hall, the gardens and the long lime avenue — and quietly look after everything else.

Our team plans one celebration at a time, from the first tour to the last carriage. No overlapping receptions, no strangers wandering the lawns and no hurrying you out at the end of the night.

The spaces

Three rooms, one unhurried day

Each part of the estate has its own light and its own pace. Most couples move through all three — vows in the glasshouse, dinner beneath the beams, and the last of the sun in the garden.

The Orangery

Our Victorian glasshouse holds ceremonies for up to 120 guests, framed by citrus trees and long afternoon light through tall arched panes.
